Total CMS extension

Pixel Plan extension

A wireframe of every Site Builder page: its layout, template, partials, blocks and the collections it reads. Free to use, with Pro for click-through editing, a site map and checks.

What it does

See how every page is built

Pixel Plan draws a wireframe of any Site Builder page: the layout around it, the template that draws it, the partials it pulls in, and the blocks and collections its content comes from.

Open Pixel Plan in the admin sidebar and pick a page. You see it drawn from the outside in, with each part labelled by where you change it: orange for Site Builder files (change the design), green for collections (change the words).

It's the quickest way to answer "where do I edit this?" on a site you built months ago, or one someone else built. It only reads your site and never changes anything, so it's safe to open any time.

With Pro, every part of the wireframe links straight to its editor, and you get a printable site map of every page and a list of the loose ends a site collects over time.

Site Builder

A wireframe of any page

Pick a page and see its layout, page template, partials and block areas, nested the way they're drawn, with the conditions that show or hide each part.

Colour-coded

Where to edit, at a glance

Orange chips are Site Builder files, green chips are collections, grey is everything else. You know whether a change is a design job or a content job before you open anything.

Content

Blocks in their place

The content blocks on each page, in order, in the area they're drawn in, with their type and background.

Collections

Where the words come from

Every collection a page reads, from the page's own content item to feeds of projects or journal posts.

Settings

Fits your theme

Tell Pixel Plan how your theme names its block partials and areas, and it follows your conventions rather than guessing.

Maintenance

One-click updates

A built-in updater checks for new versions and installs them from the Pixel Plan page. Every download is checksum-verified.

Pro licences

How Pro works

Every extension is free to download and use. A Pro licence switches on the extra features. You pay once, there's no subscription.

How many sites can I use it on?
As many as you like. One licence covers every site you build or look after, with no per-site fee.
How long does a licence last?
A licence covers every release of the major version you buy: a 1.x licence covers 1.0 right through to 1.99, and it never expires. A future 2.0 would be a new licence, and your 1.x sites keep their Pro features either way.
How do I get my licence key?
After you pay, we email your licence key within one business day. Paste it into the extension's settings in Total CMS (Settings → Extensions → the extension → Licence key) and Pro switches on straight away.
Does it send anything from my site?
No. The key is checked on your own site against our signature, so nothing about your site is sent anywhere and Pro keeps working offline. The only outside request is the optional update check, which sends no site data.
What's in the Pro Bundle?
Pro for all four extensions, Pixel Plan, Byte Checkup, Relay Queue and Cookie Club, with one key that unlocks them all, for less than buying them separately. Cookie Club Pro is coming soon: bundle keys, including ones already bought, will switch it on when it's released.
Can I get a refund?
Every extension has a free version, so please try it before you buy. We don't offer refunds if you change your mind or buy the wrong licence. This doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law: if Pro doesn't work as described, contact us and we'll put it right.

Latest releases

v1.1.0

23 October 2026 · minor · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

New Used by tab (Pro): see every page a layout, partial, page template, collection or block is used on before you edit or delete it.

Added

  • Used by tab (Pro): every layout, page template, partial, collection and block with the pages that use it and how (in the layout, via another partial, read by a block's partial, in an area, on every page). Includes inside includes are followed, so a partial pulled in by the footer shows on every page. Find box to narrow the list, and a Show unused toggle. Each part of a wireframe also gets a small 'where used' link that opens the tab on it (Pro).

v1.0.6

19 October 2026 · patch · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

The Pixel Plan page now fits on a phone, even with long page and template names.

Fixed

  • The Pixel Plan page could run off the side of a phone: the page picker sized itself to your longest page name and the page grew to fit it, so on a site with long page or template names the wireframe was cut off at the right. The picker now goes full width on phones, and long template and region names wrap instead of pushing the page wider

v1.0.5

11 October 2026 · patch · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

Broken includes now show as broken, with the spelling Twig needs.

Fixed

  • Broken includes were drawn as working. Pixel Plan matched an include's name loosely ({% include 'cta' %} found partials/cta), but Total CMS's Twig only finds the full path with .twig: 'cta', 'cta.twig' and 'partials/cta' all stop the page with "Unable to find template". Includes, embeds and extends are now checked exactly as Twig reads them: a name that won't load shows as not found, with the spelling Twig needs ("Twig needs partials/cta.twig"), and the Checks tab lists it under "Includes that point at nothing". A Site Builder page's template field (sw-page) is still matched loosely, since Site Builder finds those itself.

v1.0.4

10 October 2026 · patch · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

More accurate Checks, faster on big collections, slug-based routes recognised, and newer Twig syntax read correctly.

Fixed

  • "Unused partials" listed partials that are in use: an include without a folder (include 'header') is now counted, along with every name in include, embed, extends, import, from, use, include() and source(), and the check also looks through enabled extensions' templates and your Mailer emails. Big collections made the page slow and the page picker huge: only items that look different (blocks aimed at them, or their own Page Blocks) are now listed, the rest are counted on their route ("120 items like this") and in the site map, and picked blocks are read from the index when that field is indexed. Catch-all routes that find their item by slug are now recognised (cms.data.objects('blog')|filter(p => p.slug == params.slug), and cms.collection.object), and item URLs fill every {name} from the item, so /blog/{slug} gets the slug. Twig tags with the ~ whitespace modifier are now read, includes inside a macro are no longer drawn as page regions, and verbatim blocks are no longer read as code.

v1.0.3

10 October 2026 · patch · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

Templates from extensions (like Relay Queue's booking page) no longer show as missing.

Fixed

  • Templates from extensions showed as missing. A page that includes an extension's own template, such as Relay Queue's booking page (@speedyweb-relay-queue/public/booking-page.twig), had that region drawn in red as "not found", and the Checks tab listed it under "Includes that point at nothing". Pixel Plan now also looks in the template folder of every enabled extension, labels the region "extension template", and reads it for collections like any other partial. An @… include is still reported when the file isn't there or its extension isn't enabled.

v1.0.2

9 October 2026 · patch · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

Step-by-step install instructions (INSTALL.md) in the download.

Added

  • INSTALL.md: step-by-step install instructions in the zip. Where the folder goes (tcms-data/extensions/speedyweb/pixel-plan/, creating the extensions and speedyweb folders if they aren't there), the common folder mistakes, switching it on, updating by hand, and what to check if it doesn't show up.

Changed

  • The README's install steps were wrong: Total CMS has no "Install Extension" upload. They now say to copy the folder in, and point to INSTALL.md. No code changes.

v1.0.1

5 October 2026 · patch · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

Tidier wireframe page: the technical note under every wireframe is gone.

Removed

  • The technical note under every wireframe ("Built from template source and the blocks collection…"). It explained how Pixel Plan works inside rather than anything you need to read a wireframe; the explanation is now in the README

v1.0.0

3 October 2026 · major · Requires Total CMS 3.5.0+

Pixel Plan is the new name for Site Structure: the same wireframes, site map and structure checks, as a new extension.

Added

  • Everything from Site Structure 1.5.0: wireframes of every Site Builder page, block conventions, and with Pro: click-through editing, the site map (PNG, PDF, SVG, Markdown) and structure checks

Changed

  • New name and id: Pixel Plan (speedyweb/pixel-plan), so it can't clash with another vendor's "site-structure" folder. Admin page: ext/speedyweb/pixel-plan/wireframe. Updates come from the pixel-plan release feed
Upgrade notes

Moving from Site Structure: remove Site Structure, install Pixel Plan and copy your settings across (Block conventions, licence key). Pro keys issued for Site Structure or the bundle keep working.
